Building A Business on Your Ideas Seminar
Today Minister for Research and Innovation Sean Sherlock revealed details of a seminar aimed at inventors, local entrepreneurs and small businesses taking place in CIT, Cork on Thursday 26th January 2012.
The series of seminars will be hosted by the Patents Office in conjunction with The Enterprise Europe Network, Enterprise Ireland, the County & City Enterprise Boards and Cork Institute of Technology.
The seminar will address how businesses start-ups can use Intellectual Property (Patents, Copyrights, Trade Marks and Designs) to further business objectives and the available support networks from the Government and Europe.
Minister Sherlock said today: “These seminars provide a valuable source of information for those businesses and individuals who either wish to turn their ideas into businesses or to grow their existing businesses. “Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy and now more than ever they need every support they can to start and grow the businesses that will create the jobs of the future”
Experts from the public and private sector will speak at the event including a Patent Attorney and a representative from The Patents Office.

The seminar will start at 9.10am and finish at 4.30pm with a break for lunch from 12.50 to 13.50pm. There will be an opportunity to meet and talk with the speakers during the lunch and coffee breaks and from 4.00pm to 4.30pm.
