The North Cork Enterprise Board is offering a 2 day Big Red Book Training Programme during which you will learn how to keep proper accounting records in your business, enter all the relevant data, balance your customers’ and suppliers’ accounts, reconcile your bank accounts and prepare VAT returns.
Using a “sample” business, you will also learn how to set up abbreviations, short-cuts and regular entries so as to save time, allowing you to focus on other business activities. You will be able print accurate and informative reports, which will enable you to analyse the progress of the business and take any corrective action if necessary. Your accountant will be able to use those records and in preparing your Final Accounts and Tax Return, thus saving time and money.
As part of the Course fee, you will receive a full working version of the Big Red Book Lite which you can use in your own business for 1 year. Following completion of the course, the trainer will assist you in setting up your own business on your computer. You will have the option of upgrading the version to include Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Stock control and customer relationship management modules at a later stage if you desire. You will also receive 1 year’s free support, with the option of purchasing a discounted support contract later on.
